Anyone has this problem too?
Please anyone.

Battlefield 1 Directx Error
Microsoft Directx Patch Download
- 2 postsMember, Battlefield 3, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberYup, same here.
Before the update, only a nag screen telling me that the old HD6850 is not fast enough, but I was happily playing anyway.
Sure, everything was set to low detail, but it ran reasonably.
Since the update, the game menu started flickering, and after loading a map, the program crashes.
Anyone had some luck with modifying registry or other?
Thanks! - 283 postsMember, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberI played over 100 hours before the December update without any problem.

I've been having DirectX errors with my GTX 770 and i7 4770 since the launch. Welcome to the club. - 1 postsMember, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberSame here, i have HD 6970 and it was working just fine before dec patch. After that one i can't go to settings or join the game. It frezzes, drops out and gives me directx error. DICE screwed it bigtime with this patch and i guess they even don't give a ..... for all the problems
- 2 postsMember, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberBefor the December update i had a few DirectX crashes. But after the Update i cant play any game to the end. Its realy anoying.
My components:
Asus Radeon R9 380 Strix 4GB (Latest driver 16.12.1)
Intel I5 6600k
16GB RAM
Please fix this DICE/AMD who ever is responsible for that. - 2 postsMember, Battlefield 4, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberEverytime Dice mess up the games with patches. Except the last one for Star Wars.
- 629 postsMember, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield, Battlefield 1, CTE, BF1IncursionsAlpha, Battlefield VMemberDid you try and reinstall directx? download the full install package not the web installer. also reinstall the vc redist install files in the bf1 game install directory
- 4 postsMember, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberSame here, a HD6850 user and I got the same stupid error!
I play the game from last week, everything was fine even today morning.
Now in the evening all went black! - 2 postsMember, Battlefield 4, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberDid you try and reinstall directx? download the full install package not the web installer. also reinstall the vc redist install files in the bf1 game install directory
I 'll try friend.
Vc redist is in the first DVD or in game folder? - 12 postsMember, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberYep, I still get crashes. Few patches later, several driver updates later and still no fix. I keep crashing on Ballroom blitz and St. Quentin Scar mostly. Heck when Giant's shadow came out, I crashed as well. I'm sorry for my language but what the ****. Its been two months since the game is released and there is no fix. Just like Battlefield 4. These are my specs:
Intel Core i7-3960X 3.30 GHz
16 GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 690
Windows 10 Pro
Graphics Card Driver version: 376.33
My PC is capable of at least playing on Medium settings. I was able to play the alpha and beta just fine without crashing so what the hell happened between the day it was shown off at E3 to now. I keep my PC clean and up to date for the most part and while my graphics card is old, it is still capable. Not everybody can afford to buy a new graphics card, DICE. Nvidia if you put as much effort into driver testing as you did on your AI project, you wouldn't have to have p***ing matches with DICE and AMD. Fix the game. It was fine at E3, it was fine during the Alpha and beta. - 7 postsMember, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberMake sure all drivers are up to date not just gpu, the HD audio drivers can cause issue with dx11 - Go to device manager and update. Also might help to make sure all your cpu cores are unparked. I did this and stopped the constant crashing.

I can confirm that this doesn't work for all systems. I have the most up to date audio drivers for my system, and the newest drivers for NVIDIA caused way more crashes.
What are your specs? - 12 postsMember, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberConstantly crashing on my GTX 1070 and i7-4700hq, before and after the patch.
- 195 postsMember, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield, Battlefield 1, CTEMemberDecember 19, 2016 5:20AMedited December 2016I am only experiencing very rare crashes since the beta, which had a rather obvious memory leak. I realise though that many other people are running different hardware/software and having a completely different experience judging by the number of posts about crashes.
My specs are as follows if it helps anyone:
i7-4790K (not overclocked)
GTX 980 ACX
ASUS Maximus VII Ranger motherboard
16GB ram (dual channel)
Windows 100 - 283 postsMember, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberConstantly crashing on my GTX 1070 and i7-4700hq, before and after the patch.

Somehow it works for me if i turn my second monitor of. Played 2 hours since and no crashes thats a good sign
- 6 postsMember, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberHD6850 user here: Same lameness for me. Was able to play before patch, now i cannot. GG all
- 1 postsMember, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberI also have an HD6800 series, and had no issues playing the beta or the full game before this update.
Switching to Borderless or Windowed mode SOLVED this issue for me!
Hopefully it works for all of you!!
Happy Killing! - 2 postsMember, Battlefield 3, Battlefield, Battlefield 1MemberHi DodgeThis27,
Yes! That did it for me.

Kinda. I've played like 10 hours and just 1 crash. And this crash didnt came with the normal message so... It makes the crash less often for sure. Every single one of this thread work for DICE and they dont even know.
