As a Rpg, Pokemon is amazingly balanced and is accessible to all types of audiences.
The sounds are just as good as you would expect from a pokemon game, and the new sprites and 3D enviroments are beautiful to look at.
The new IR interface makes everything from trading to battling so much easier...no more link cables or union rooms!
Pokemon Black will easily last you several hundred hours, and for the die hard fans who wanna catch 'em all, be prepared to work your way through a whopping 649, old and new!

Pokemon Black Version and Pokemon White Version feature new Pokemon that players can catch, train and battle as they progress through the game, and some Pokemon can only be caught in one version of the game. For example, the Legendary Pokemon Reshiram can only be caught in Pokemon Black Version, while the Legendary Pokemon Zekrom can only be caught in Pokemon White Version. Additionally, the two games feature different areas for the first time in the series, with the game world of Pokemon Black Version featuring a unique metropolitan area called Black City, and a lush, green area named White Forest only found in Pokemon White Version. Pokemon Black Version and Pokemon White Version also mark the first time in a Pokemon video game that the seasons will change in the game world. Certain Pokemon appear more frequently during different seasons, and players can only access some areas during a specific season.
Monster rates this game: 5/5Pokémon Black & Pokémon White are the first games of the long anticipated fifth generation of Pokémon. These games are due for release in Japan in September 18th 2010 and are said to bring about a revolution of Pokémon. .
These games are set to feature the previously established assortment of Pokémon, but will also contain a massive amount, 156 in fact, of brand New Pokémon. These Pokémon are the only ones you will encounter until the main game has been completed
In addition to that, Pokémon Black and Pokémon White take the 3D attributes previously included in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver and take them to new levels by including things like fully 3D bridges and a completely 3D city.
Pokémon Black & White are set in the region known as Unova. Unova is a region far away from the previous regions, requiring you to get there by Boat or Plane. It has a large city called Castelia City, with loads of buildings and sky scrapes for you to explore. Outside of the city and Unova remains to be predominantly industrialised with various factories and train tracks existing in the various areas. As the games are set in a region far away, the main game will not feature any old Pokémon until you have beaten the main story. The games also have you playing as protagonists older than the previous playable characters.
Pokémon Black & Pokémon White are to be compatible in with the games of the previous generation; Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver through the aspect of the game known as the PokéTransfer so you can complete the Pokédex. In addition to this, there is a method called the Relocator which works only for a certain few event Pokémon. Through this, some event Pokémon can be traded over to these games to unlock new things such as the Monster Fox Pokémon, Zoroark.
Fantastic addition to the pokemon series, rom itself though is busted and will not allow any pokemon you get to gain xp
