Hey,
This morning, when I wanted to start the game, I got a notification that there is an update of BF5, so I downloaded it.
However, now I cannot start the game any more. After I start it, whether it is directly via Origin or not, nothing happens. Other games besides BF5 do open. Tried several PC restarts. Drivers are updated.
Please help

Game Patch Download
2012-3-25 This is a herp derp origin fail. I can play BF3 by loggin into battlelog without using origin, and as far as I am concerned I will never need to use Origin again as long as I can play BF3. Still, it would be nice to be able to use it for future Origin exclusive game purchases. Fuck of Padder OP- Try manually reinstalling Origin.

Clicking Play on BF5 grays it out, and comes back to being clickable without the game opening.
I clicked a notification on Origin saying there is a update today. - 1 postsMember, Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, Battlefield, Battlefield 1, CTE, BF1IncursionsAlpha, Battlefield VMemberI am having the same issue, I have yet to be able to load BFV. no matter where i load it from. Origin minimises, it has a think about it for a few seconds (swirly cursor icon) and then Origin comes back. If I try to update the game, it thinks there's a 521mb file which it downloads, but it'll still think the same update hasn't been downloaded if I click update again.

I additionally got the error that I cannot launch the game because I used Origin from several PCs? Lol. After contacting EA support they said the best solution is to wait 24 h so the problem disappears. Added to that I should try following steps:
1. Deleting all temporary Origin files: https://help.ea.com/de-de/help/pc/clearing-your-temporary-files
2. Using CCleaner: https://help.ea.com/de-de/help/pc/how-to-use-ccleaner-to-fix-pc-issues/
3. Running the game as administrator: http://help.ea.com/de/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/
4. Clean booting: http://help.ea.com/de/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
However, I did not want to wait 24 h because I have a really fast internet connection and was able to download the game in a few minutes so I reset Windows, and all problems were solved. - 1 postsMember, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield, Battlefield 1, Battlefield VMember0
- 553 postsMember, Battlefield 4, Battlefield, Battlefield 1, Battlefield VMemberHappened to me too on my Win7 drive. I restored the drive from a prior patch image and re-downloaded the patch and everything was ok. BTW I usually have origin set to auto download game updates but on this occassion I didn't and had to click on that download arrow, maybe that had something to do with the fail.
That whole patch rollout was a bit wonky IMO, no wonder they're doing another one next week.
